Screening for Plagiarism Policy
PLANDEV-S: Planning and Development for Sustainability is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. To uphold these standards, all submitted manuscripts undergo a strict plagiarism screening process before entering peer review.
Plagiarism Screening Process:
-
All manuscripts are checked using reliable plagiarism detection software to identify any instances of text duplication or inappropriate reuse of content.
-
Manuscripts found to have substantial overlap with previously published work without proper citation will be rejected outright.
-
Minor textual similarities that are properly cited may be considered acceptable depending on the context.
Author Responsibilities:
-
Authors must ensure that their submissions are original works and appropriately reference all sources.
-
Any use of previously published material, including their own (self-plagiarism), must be clearly indicated and justified.
-
Failure to disclose duplicated content or plagiarism may result in rejection or retraction of the article and notification to the authors’ institutions.
Consequences of Plagiarism:
-
Manuscripts identified with significant plagiarism will be rejected.
-
Published articles found to involve plagiarism will be retracted.
-
The journal may take further actions such as banning authors from future submissions or reporting misconduct to relevant authorities.
PLANDEV-S follows the guidelines and ethical standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and strives to promote transparency and honesty in scholarly publishing.
